Pig Truck ðŸ›ŧ 🐖

7/18/22

Another week down and this one was a lot more eventful. I hit my real one year mark on the 12th so I'm officially more than half way. A lot of my stuff is super worn down. I switched into a new pair of shoes, have to buy a new fanny pack, and I burned a shirt. Time is flying right now, each transfer goes by faster. I'm excited to see what this next year has in store for me.

This week we put another one of our friends on date. Her name is Doren and she's been taught by missionaries for almost a year. One week she showed up to church and while she was leaving she said, "By the way I want to be baptized now." It was surprising, but awesome! Elder Ivins has that greenie luck. We are supposed to baptize our friend Seth this week too. He's a really cool guy and he's a barber. He doesn't have a shop right now so he just walks around with his clippers and razors until someone calls him over. I'm really excited for both of them.

This last Saturday we had a Stake Cultural Activity. Each ward/branch/group prepared a cultural dance from a different region in Ghana and performed it. There were a lot of cool performances and our branch placed 3rd. They also did an African proverbs competition but it was all in Twi so I couldn't really follow what was going on. It was a great day and we got to hang out with the other missionaries in our zone.

Scripture of the Week
2 Nephi 11:7 - "For if there be no Christ there be no God; and if there be no God we are not, for there could have been no creation. But there is a God, and he is Christ, and he cometh in the fulness of his own time."
