Goodbye Provo MTC!

My MTC experience is coming to an end and it's bittersweet. I'm excited to get out in the field, but I'm sad to be leaving all of the new friends I've made here. I can't tell if the food is getting better or if I'm just getting hungrier, but it's a little more bearable now.

We were able to visit the Provo temple twice during the MTC and that was a great experience before going out on the field.

We also have a new batch of missionaries this week and they happened to be staying on our floor. We decided to play a prank on them since we knew what day they were coming. Our zone leader had all of their names on a piece of paper, so we wrote assignment papers for each bathroom stall and shower. Their whole district of ten guys had two showers and 3 toilets. A few of them bought it, but the joke didn't last very long.

Our last classes were today and then we have a free schedule until we leave. I fly out to Ghana on Wednesday the 4th with a group of about 10 other missionaries. It's been a fun couple of weeks here, but I think I'm ready for Ghana.

See you next week!

First Days in person at the Provo MTC

I've officially started my mission and my stay at the Provo MTC. The online MTC made it a really easy transition, especially because I already knew my district. We have a big group of happy Elders and Sisters. The MTC food isn't too bad, but I wouldn't call it good. The new campus has a lot of nice buildings and cool murals.

The first day we had a devotional with a lot of great speakers and it was a nice way to get welcomed. Yesterday we played basketball in the gym and we plan on going back today. We also visited the temple and it was a different experience with my district. Overall not a lot to talk about or any funny stories. I'm only 3 days in, but I've enjoyed my stay so far. I look forward to getting in the field and serving people.
